In October in our regular client activities we assisted 12 families with $2,927.79 in financial assistance.  We also referred 26 other families to other assistance sources.  At month end we had 2 active cases pending resolution. For the month we received $2,100 in regular donations and contributions through the parish.

During the month we received $2,778.50 in dedicated Katrina relief contributions, including $2,328.50 in proceeds from the Knights of Columbus fish fry.  This brought the total parish donations to the St. Paul Conference, St. Vincent de Paul Society, to $3,178.50.  In October we purchased $1,774.16 in relocation items for the evacuees.  This brought the total parish SVDP Katrina disbursements to $1,884.85.  The balance will be disbursed in November.  To date the parish has directly assisted 39 Katrina evacuee families (over 125 people) to establish new homes.  To date the Dallas Council of St. Vincent de Paul through the emergency warehouse has assisted over 1,650 families to establish new homes, and it continues to help settle approximately 300 every week.
